 Chrisâ Background

- Specialty in moment-to-moment gameplay w/ long-term progression
- Started out in MMORPG (LOTR Online): a 15+ year game
- Game Director for Magic: The Gathering Arena - an online TCG game

đ
 Davidâs Background
- Always had an interest in trading card games - loved Magic and Hearthstone
- Worked on a lot of TCG around Facebook and Flash games
đ Current State of Blockchain TCG
- Digital trading cards are an easy concept to grasp â scarcity in physical cards is already easy to understand
- Blockchain-based TCGâs allow for full flexibility over playerâs choice - e.g. opening a card pack with verifiable probability of rare cards vs. selling the unopened pack on the market
Market Dominators:
- *Gods Unchained* - similar to more traditional TCG
- game mechanics analogous to Hearthstone
- built on Immutableâs ZK stack
- Splinterlands - more transaction-based gameplay
- build team around battle-specific constraints and then submit to see if your team beats opponent
- mostly on-chain (Hive blockchain)
On the rise:
- Metropolis Origins - interesting mechanics, but assets are not fully on-chain
- Skyweavers - closed beta right now, public release on Feb. 8
â Gods Unchained & Immutable X
- Initial project for the studio was Gods Unchained, but Immutable X arose as a platform to supplement the use of millions of NFTâs at once in Gods Unchained, instead of just tens of thousands.
